I understand we need patience and Bell deserves time to develop the program, but high GPA’s and good character players is not a substitute for poor results.
They're no substitute, but I also don't think character, scholarship, and athletic talent are mutually exclusive traits.

Best wishes to Weeks. And best of luck getting a waiver. Hopefully sooner than Dibaji Walker's.

Re: State of the Progam

One problem with most of the bowl games is that it costs the schools to actually play in them. Yes. The school has to buy a certain amount of tickets. Hopefully if we make a bowl we will travel and not have the school have to pay. Schools pay $50k to play in the CBI. I don't see how that's any diff...

Re: State of the Progam

Maybe if we recruit really well, benefit from some great coaching and get a few lucky bounces of the ball we too can play in the Bad Boy Lawnmowers Gasparilla Bowl in front of fewer than 14,000 fans. Is that the goal here? I mean, yeah? Going to a bowl means UMass did well against an FBS schedule. ...

Re: KAEO: Dibaji Walker

Better yet wish them a Merry Christmas. I am anti PC. It’s not about being PC, it’s about respecting the fact that people celebrate different holidays. Also efficiency. You can simultaneously and universally wish someone a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy New Year, etc. in two ...

Re: KAEO: Dibaji Walker

If he could at least play the conference schedule I think that'd be okay.

Ridiculous the NCAA is taking this long.

Re: State of the Progam

Whatever the students' reasons for xfer, given the already low roster numbers, it is a bad look for UMass and. hard to recruit against. :? Kids all over the country are transferring and new coaches are the main reason for large numbers of transfers. Rules are the same for all teams. CC for example ...

Jacksonville University drops football: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2019/12/03/jacksonville-university-school-drops-football-surprise-move/2595578001/ UMass football still has its supporters but they are diminishing every year. I do feel that dropping football (can't believe I wrote...

Re: State of the Progam

Now we have a guy on twitter claiming that an "unfortunate" list of transfers out of our program will come to light. Link? I didn’t see that one. But it’s not surprising since the AD just said in a news article that Bell is working on getting his own players into the program. https://i.imgur.com/KX...

Re: 2020 Season

I get it that at the High School level the HUNH can be successful - but you don't really see successful football teams running HUNH in the NFL or in major CFB. Perhaps I am mistaken and somebody can show me a team that plays major CFB and successfully employs the HUNH. I can't speak to who consiste...
