Re: 2020 Season

Yeah there have been a lot more cases tied to Sturgis than 26 for sure. Additionally, since people decided to act like college football wouldn't be a "super spreader" there's things like these going around: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29892180/lsu-coach-ed-orgeron-most-team-cont...

Do they have any more games against Covid? Hate that team. They suck.
No shame losing to them. I hear they are a tough team and will probably go undefeated.
Certainly one of the few teams that could have a legitimate claim on being "World Champions"

Re: 2020-2021 Predictions

He and I are both over at BF, and this came up in a thread over there. Generic teams for the quotes: Interesting. Mitchell is a stud, to be sure, but Fake Jared Kushner has a ton to prove as an in-game coach and program leader. The Minutemen certainly can finish this high, though. UMass has underac...

Re: Fours Closing

I was watching the Canadian broadcast of the last Bruins game, this news was big enough that it went international and they had a short mention of it and how they'd miss it when covering games in Boston.

Re: 2020 Season

Agree - perhaps 9 games, with a 4 week training period. But every college will be in a different place as to Covid. Almost all University planning I have read about expect COVID plus the 'regular flu', which is why most colleges are ending their semester at Thanksgiving, or are turning instruction ...

Re: Ok I'll Do it - 2021 Season

If we play in the spring and it's an 8 game schedule, I would not be upset with that list. If UCONN also plays, I would obviously prefer them over on of the further distanced ones (unless there's a big check to be had for being willing to travel to the PAC or something). Otherwise, I'll wait until ...

Re: Liberty University

It was a little weird and he’s an odd duck but was it really that big of a deal? I mean anybody that likes the trailer park boys automatically has a good sense of humor. Seems like people just jumping on Falwell because they hate him and his family. You think the people at Liberty, the ones who for...

Re: 57 donors for basketball, show it!

Could a lot of these numbers also have to do with the size and history of the various teams? Obviously basketball has a much smaller roster than most other sports, and alumni from programs are going to be fairly likely to support the programs after they leave. I mean it wouldn't explain everything a...

Re: COVID-19 Discussion

The only numbers in the official count are PCR tests. The CDC quite literally provides guidance against using antibody tests to diagnose: https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/coronavirus-testing-basics This isn't true. The CDC counts probable cases, which are positive antibody tests, in t...

Re: COVID-19 Discussion

Straight from an epidemiologist Dr. Alan Preston. Not my opinion. I see he did a podcast (with Tony Robbins of all people), but there's no actual research into anything that he's posted anywhere. And immediately showing that it's inaccurate: antibody tests were the device used to calculate that som...

Antibody positive tests and people with Covid like symptoms that aren'tactually tested both get counted as positive Covid-19 results.

Well, there goes that theory about "kids don't get COVID or spread it" https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6931e1.htm?s_cid=mm6931e1_w&fbclid=IwAR0KWTB4fjbjCI2mHdiWlBUMQF5k425IBsmK6d3VHAsK8dAQ3r_dAHjinCk A total of 597 Georgia residents attended camp A. I'd like to know more about that study, specifically the age groups is uses. It might completely agree with the South Korean Study, or it might show different results depending on how they classify the group. For reference, the South Korean study shows that children under the age of 10 have a much l...

Looks like she was also on the Puerto Rico U16 national team, so that's some good experience there too.
