Re: Game 10, 2018-2019 Providence 12/7/18

Why are we not talking about this win the next day? I was also surprised by the lack of discussion after such a great win. 1) Happy people are going to spend less time posting online. After a bad loss we're all pissed and come here to vent. After a great win we don't feel the need to share this wit...

^^^ soooooo like every year for the last 10 years???

Well, likely worse than the last 2 years, but much like the 8 years before that.
I think he has a shot at 4-7 wins this upcoming year. The cupboard is not bare and he is already offering JUCO linemen.

Re: Walt Bell

Supposedly Don Brown helped with this search and recommended the new coach.

Re: Walt Bell

100% People are disappointed with the hire without an hour even going by. I think this is a home run hire, and not one that I expected. He’s the opposite of Whipple, and is on par with Ryan’s basketball and hockey coaching hires. He is Whipple from Whipple's new Haven/Brown days. Jeez, people here ...

Re: Walt Bell

For the first time in the FBS era, we are hiring a young and presumably hungry assistant from a power program and I think that direction is long overdue. Obviously time will tell, but I can't comprehend why anybody wouldn't be willing to give him a chance. 100% People are disappointed with the hire...

Re: Walt Bell

He took a pay cut to come here and run his own show . . . . that takes some stones! I know. We hired a guy who is I the rise. Who has been given raises each new job. We got a p5 coordinator who will make approximately what he made at his previous stop before FSU. Wants to run the show. Hope he can ...

Re: Head coaching options

What was the cause of the Kelsey Fiasco. Some of us don’t know. And it seems like many do know, so I assume it is not confidential. As the rumor goes that I heard, the shit hit the fan when Kelsey met the players. Let me make it clear, this is merely the rumor I heard. Wild speculation and rumors a...

I know, or at least I'm almost positive I know the Kelsey issue and it is not for public dissemination. I'm not even sure that Bamford knew about it before Kelsey balked.
Fair. Just seemed odd that a couple people brought it up in this forum, making it seem like it was more widely known.

Re: Head coaching options

Good example of why Bamford’s strategy is far superior than running an open and more transparent search. I believe it was this coach who spilled the beans on the search. I would be willing to put a Diet Coke this guy ends up at ECU, sounds like the family is from right around ECU. Not sure how this...

Re: Head coaching options

Just as an FYI, Mike Houston no longer has an offer to coach at Charlotte because he wanted to consider other options: https://twitter.com/TheAthleticCFB/status/1068557388377194497 Good example of why Bamford’s strategy is far superior than running an open and more transparent search. Re: What will we look like in 2018-2019?

Two predictions and a hope: 1) UMass will compete for an A10 title this year...the combination of a weak conference coupled with UMass surrounding the best player in the league with enough improving pieces leads me to this conclusion 2) Trae Wood will be a significant contributor by the end of the ...

Re: NOLA DUO GONE!!!!!

Ireland? Interesting... Careful Doctor... Thats NORTHERN Ireland - mixups like that aren't viewed too kindly over there. Not as bad as you think anymore (having been to Ireland multiple times over the past year or so, hearing many "It's all Irish to me" coming from people originally from Du...
