Re: Serious Question

If they get to 5-5 I will be extremely happy. That means they took care of business against LaSalle and Fordham and stole a game against URI, Richmond or VCU. They play URI well at home and VCU has been scuffling so you never know.

If Preston can be this era's Javorn Farrell with a better jump shot I'll be very happy.

Re: Game 26. 2019-20: Saint Louis (2/18)

There is no way Carl is coming off the bench. There is no way Djery is starting. There is no way Keon is starting. The team is 10-15. McCall is trying to build some chemistry with guys that will be major pieces next season. I do not see him making such big changes when there is nothing really on the...

^^ Fans in general and UMass fans in particular, tend to be of the are bandwagon variety...if/when the team wins they will come.
This I completely agree with. Saying that fans went home for the weekend because it was 3-day weekend...this isn't Westfield State.

Re: Game 25, 2019-20: Dayton (2/15)

For a University with the enrollment the size of Umass, the "long weekend, students were probably gone" excuse doesn't hold much water with me. I also think it's obvious Keon has let the staff know he won't be around next year, which is why Umass is recruiting the way they are and why Keon's minutes...

Re: Game 24, 2019-20: George Mason (2/9)

I'm surprised not one person has brought up the fact that McCall subbed out the entire starting 5 just 1 minute into the game after they gave up 3 straight offensive rebounds. I thought that was a great sign. The 2nd unit played harder, kept the team in the game, then McCall slowly got his 1st team ...

Re: GAME 21, 1-29-20 St. Joseph's

They got of to a slow start defensively but made adjustments and picked up the intensity for the final 30 minutes or so. Nice game by a lot of the team but I get more and more impressed with Tre as the season progresses. SJ was smothering the guy but he did a good of of passing out of the pressure....

Re: KAEO: Dibaji Walker

^ Problem is if we didn't know any better we'd probably think a lot of guys "can't play" based off of their next opponent and how tough they are. I'm willing to give Walker plenty of time. Maybe it's because I didn't have the highest hopes to begin with. But if he's a 9-10 minute a night guy who sco...

Re: KAEO LuWane Pipkins (PG-2015)

Not to make it seem like I'm sitting on the fence, but I believe both sides can be correct. What IV said about the bigger picture and putting his time at Umass into context makes a lot of sense. Considering the alternative and where he was coming from, getting a degree from Umass is a fantastic acco...

Re: Game 14. 2019-2020 SLU 1/5/20

^ STL is what they are at this point. They play tough defense, active on the glass, big-wide bodies. Still can't shoot. Their best players are Juniors so I think there was an assumed jump for them, but I don't know if I can see it coming. In fairness, they were playing without their 3rd leading scor...

Re: Game 14. 2019-2020 SLU 1/5/20

Loved Samba's play. Was a monster on the glass and very active on the floor. He still has a bit of baby deer in his game, but grabbing 14 boards on the road against a team like STL is impressive.

Re: KAEO: TJ Weeks

Not sure how accurate they are, but TV announcers said T.J. has a sports hernia. They also said he is our best player so... They also said "both teams are looking to avoid starting their conference seasons 0-2"...so I doubt they have any inside information. It was probably all just an assumption on...

Ok I’m the guy from Sean East’s home town that told you guys that you will love him. I’ve kind of been out of the loop the last 3 weeks. How is he doing? And is he living up to what I thought he would? In high school he would hit some shots and passes and you are like what did I just see. so I can'...
