It's not like we have rivals now anyways.
C'mon. Are you somehow discounting all the history and pageantry of our games with FIU?

Re: Spring Game

Hope they correct this line. MHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Athletics announced fan information for the 2019 UMass Football Spring Game on Thursday , including details on parking, tailgating and in-stadium fan experience events. As April 20th is a Saturday Poorly written. No mention of...

It'll be an incredible feat to see attendance average 13,000.

Re: McGuirk Upgrade

Why do I have a feeling that raising stands would be a lot cheaper than lowering fields?

^ I think that's correct. You can't yell "down in front" to the players.
Way too much work went into these drawings. We just need to recruit shorter players and coaches!

Re: McGuirk Upgrade

Nice graphics and design work! but.... I think you're getting WAY too close to field level. When you're at the lowest level (with the current stands) you can barely see over the players and have a limited view of the field. I think any additional seating should go above the existing, not below. Sadl...

Re: McGuirk Upgrade

The South End Plaza looks great. Plan is for field level, but if it were elevated say 4 feet above field level w/some concessions it seems like it could be a great place to watch. Jack - That though is worth forwarding to Ryan before it is too late. . Only thing that would make it not a great place...

Re: McGuirk Upgrade

I understand the "tear down" mentality with the endzone wall, but has the general safety and condition of the stands been addressed in any of these plans?

Re: McGuirk Upgrade

@McKinney- I would think that UMass poorly designing that stadium and cheaply building it (not to mention the ravages of time) could be completely within the realm of possibility. To even call it a "stadium" is quite a stretch, for what's really nothing more than two slabs of concrete with bench sea...

Re: McGuirk Upgrade

Actually feel a little bit better about McGuirk after watching that video. Definitely more salvageable than a lot of the other stadiums in the video. Some of the FCS stadiums on there are LOL bad. McGuirk is literally a foundation or skeleton, however you want to look at it. The area around the sta...

Re: Walt Bell

Hope everyone tempers their optimism for next year in fairness to Coach Bell. We lose our top 2 QBs, top RB, top LB and our first FBS First Team All-American at WR. That said, hopeful for Year 2 and beyond. Oh absolutely. Year 1 and 2 are likely to be a mess from a win-loss perspective. And that's ...

Not a good day for Don's reputation.
Seriously. Don't bring that "wet paper bag" defense anywhere near here.

Re: Head coaching options

Michigan just gave up 62 points to Ohio State. Not sure we want to see a defense like that around here!
