Re: Game 17, 2019-20: at St Bonaventure (Rochester, 1/15)

We better get some more size in next year, losing Djery we are too small. We don't need a 7 footer, but we do need a bruiser who can clear rebounds and hold his ground vs. other bigs defensively. Captain Obvious called.... and even he said "No Shit Sherlock" Comments like this piss me off and frust...

Re: Bang the Trashcan Slowly

Edit: Quann beat me by a nanosecond and I endorse everything he posted. Sign stealing is a part of baseball all the way down to the lowest levels. When you go above and beyond the conventional means of the game (ie the runner on 2nd signaling the batter or coaches figuring out other coaches signs) i...

Re: Game 17, 2019-20: at St Bonaventure (Rochester, 1/15)

I don't recall where it opened but I believe we closed -2 against Fairfield. I thought I remember us being small dogs to Northeastern... Not that winning outright as a small dog is anything to write home about.... I'm sure (know) there are sites that track your straight up record as a favorite or do...

Re: 2020-21 Season

What's up with the speculation on Carl leaving? Is he on pace to graduate in three years? I can't imagine he would get a waiver to transfer and find it even less likely that he would want to sit out a year. Not to mention all of the other players on the team call him "Mr. UMass." If I were setting b...

Re: Tajae

^I love Tractorcito as much as the next guy but there is a better chance I'm playing RB for the Pats next season than Derrick Henry is. Some team is gonna give him top 3 RB money or possibly make him the highest paid RB in the league. I can't remember if they gave Mankins #1 in the league G money, b...

Almost as good as Fordham's run against us a few years ago

Re: 2020 Recruiting

Yes we're not only losing Djery but we've also already lost Sy. He would have been OK at the 5 in the A-10 because he has some size and can definitely protect the rim. We don't need a back to the basket Center but we definitely are too thin on the back line, even including forwards.

Re: 2019-20 season

A good shot blocker at the back of the press is a good fail-safe to have. I think the press is certainly better than where it was early on in the non conference.

Re: KAEO: John Buggs III

I have never torn my ACL or played athletically above the high-school level, but I believe the longer time for basketball is due to the range of motion differences between football and basketball. Football is much more stop and go, straight-line type of game. For basketball you are constantly moving...

Re: KAEO: John Buggs III

In rare circumstances, I think you can get a 6th year to play your 4. I think he will be back and probably getting minutes at some point next season, I'm just basing it on the history of guys who have torn ACL's in basketball it usually the 2nd year that they are "back to being themselves."

Re: Game 17, 2019-20: vs St Bonaventure (Rochester, 1/15)

Getting this game in Rochester is huge. At least the mongrels from that hell hole in Olean will be more than 6" from the court. We will certainly be dogs in this game, possibly by double digits. Until we win a meaningful game on the road I will continue to fade them on the road. Need to come out wit...

Re: KAEO: John Buggs III

He's still on crutches with a pretty big brace on his knee in most of the pictures I've seen.... Guessing its way too early to prognosticate on how soon he'll be able to play basketball. Even if he's ready for next season, ACL's are usually closer to a 2 year deal for fully up-to-speed and healthy f...

Re: Game 16, 2019-20: at Dayton (1/11)

Best team on our schedule, in their barn. Only hope is they come out somewhat slow being an oddly early start time on the weekend. Then again I saw about half the Harvard basketball team walking into the gym within an hour of tip and we all know how that one turned out. Tough, tough test for a team ...
