Re: State of the program

I think I saw it mentioned somewhere on here as well, there are probably some technicalities that need to be handled with the hiring of a "state" employee as well. We have Tre and TJ's NLI's and if he's out there recruiting as a UMass assistant then it is already done.

Re: 2019 NFL Draft

I could see Andy still being on the board at pick 73... Of course, I could also see the Patriots no longer owning pick 73. I'm sure we will have a guy projected in the 5th (from Rutgers, no doubt) that Bill takes in the 2nd round instead of Andy.

Re: 2019-20 Coaching Changes thread

NKU has to be pretty damn close to his hometown in Cincy, especially when you consider the Cincinnati International Airport is actually in North Kentucky.. That is the only real reason I can think of.

Re: future scheduling talk

They are because you can schedule them basically any week of the year with flexibility unlike schools with a conference that will have 8+ weeks blacked out in a given season. If South Carolina, for example, puts UMass on their schedule for a couple years down the road they know they will be able to ...

Re: 2019 Recruiting

It is now. But you're kidding yourself if you think UMass is anybodies dream school off the bat. When the cards are all laid out on the table and you have to pick from them, then UMass might be one of their dream schools. Maybe TJ Weeks is the exception, for exceptional reasons at that. My main poin...

Re: 2019 Recruiting

What do we have, 2 spots to fill? Seems like its getting to be a little late to be finding guys that want to be at UMass. Hope something breaks in our favor soon Unfortunately, the reality is that at this stage the unsigned are doing exactly what we are doing... projecting. I dont think the availab...

Re: 2019 Recruiting

No but there are several other things I would be much more confident having a true blooded PG on the roster for... Setting up the offense, bringing the ball up/beating the press. IV you're right in the fact that the team wouldn't be totally doomed without one, but it is the biggest need by a pretty ...

Re: 2019 Recruiting

Buggs is as much a PG as Pipkins was a PG - in that he can play it but his skill set is not that of a primary ball handler. I mean when the kid himself (Buggs) is asked directly if he's a point guard and he says he's a combo guard - you should probably try to find someone(s) that is a true PG.

Also Cliff Warren has already been scooped up. He is joining the Georgia State staff as an assistant coach.

Re: Around the A-10 (2018-19)

Grady maybe not... As far as I know he is retaining his eligibility. I find it hard to believe he will declare just to become a 2nd round pick. He will need some major helium over the summer for him to not come back, IMO.

Re: NOLA DUO GONE!!!!!

I think it's pretty fair to assume that any sixth man of the year winner for any conference would start the following year.

Re: Vote for Cale for the Hobey Baker

You could see the nerves on his first shift (obviously expected) but after that, you're right he more than fit in he looked like an asset. That goal was a thing of beauty - strong on the puck, speed to get to the front of the net and the finishing touch to tuck it five hole through traffic. Kids gon...

Re: Vote for Cale for the Hobey Baker

Really good chance Cale is in the lineup tonight for game 3 against his hometown team. One of the avs dmen got banged up in game 2 and might not play. Would love to see him manning the point on the pp with the top line in hockey. I thought I saw one of the Colorado beat guys saying his was manning ...
