Re: UConn to Big East 2020

Boston/New England is a big TV market for pro sports, local college interest is limited. What evidence is there that college or even UMass TV games draw? My guess, a .2 rating at best. I do not see UMass at all in 2018, see below. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-tv-ratings/ Face it...

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

Too early to tell, still some moves to be solidified across A10. Good to have this starting point, thanks.

Re: Following the NCAA playoffs

I felt UVA was dominant throughout today - much faster, better on D and GB's. Excellent ride, very disruptive.

Re: Following the NCAA playoffs

Yes, and Yale simply owned FOGO yielding a 10-1 lead before PSU staged a comeback, but never was within 3 goals.

IMHO, Yale is the superior team to UVA, and should win by 4 goals.

Re: 2019 - UMass Gorillas Lacrosse in the news

Saw the younger Tobin and Reading H.S. play Acton-Boxborough Friday in a losing effort, 4 to 12.. He stood out as an excellent feeder and has a great shot. Quite fast. Mostly played mid-field, but also inverted as the QB at X. What impressed me the most was his ability to see the field and make exce...

Sconone and Papparo named First Team All Americans!

We are tied with DUKE having 2 first teamers. It was pretty much a choice between Sconone and Stover of Loyola, who earned 2nd team status. BIG TIME Congrats to both Gorillas. No other UM players were listed 2nd through HM. Inside Lacrosse Media poll is below. https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/...

Following the NCAA playoffs

Unfortunately, UMass's RPI at 20th, with only 17 teams invited, left us the 4th team out. https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/men-s-ncaa-di-bracket-penn-state-enters-tournament-as-no-1-seed/54465 Brackets are here: https://assets.insidelacrosse.com/docs/2019_Men_DI_NCAATournament.pdf I think all ...

Re: CAA Semis: Drexel @ Garber Thursday 5/2 @ 5:05

This team was frustrating to watch. I file this under "Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda". Drexel played extremely well. No joke. No 'bad calls' made a real difference, the refs I would grade "D" in terms of both controlling the game, and making the 'right call'. On this note, in the last 4+ minutes, UM hurt ...

Re: CAA Semis: Drexel @ Garber Thursday 5/2 @ 5:05

Well, that's it for the season. Too bad. Dug too deep a hole and some over-aggressive UM play led to multiple EMO's for Drexel.

CAA is likely a one bid league, 2 IFF Towson loses in finals. 1 IFF Towson loses in semis, IMO.
