Re: Virgin Islands, August 2019, exhibition trip

It’s interesting how differently the women’s program is handling its international trip. Lots of promotion and excitement leading up to it and nice social media info on the first game.

Re: Recruiting -- 2018 and beyond

My understanding is Kessler replacing the Fin is a win for us. As for the season, I would be disappointed with anything less than a top 4 finish in Hockey East and think we have a good shot at getting back to the tournament. We did, however, lose the best player in the country, as well as our second...

Here's some info on microfracture knee surgery:

Depending upon the location of the microfracture and the size of the defect, it can take anywhere from 4 to 7 months to be able to heal to the point where patients can increase their activities and potentially initiate occasional impact activities.

Re: 2020 Recruiting

Another SF, just what we need. I actually like this pickup though, Cleveland State was a deep program last year. He got some playing time every single game. It looks like when he actually shoots the ball he can score, but some games he just did not get the chances or was too timid. Samaki Walker ge...

Re: 2020 Recruiting

I'd be shocked if someone else is already committing here for 2020, given that we are already one scholarship short with those who have already committed.

Re: 2020 Recruiting

Welcome aboard, Dibaji, but we really need a big guy. Here’s his year at Cleveland State.

Was ranked 12th best player in Connecticut and 42nd best in New England his senior year.

Re: 2019-20 season

^^^ Microfracture knee surgery is extremely serious. If that's what KTM had, it's going to be a long recovery. Glad to hear the Buggs thing isn't serious. Concerned with Samba being rested. The past problems with his knee have me concerned about his durability. As for the truck pull, I'm more intere...

I love all the optimism for the coming season, and we all hope this ship turns around...but how does one read a Q&A with an incoming freshman and conclude he could be a real steal? We all hope your right, but... :D :D :D

Interesting. Don't see her in the picture of the pool party at Verdi's house. This continues the 1-2 players every year who leave. Hope this is finally the breakout year for Verdi's squad, and we start to see some consistency.

Re: 2019 Season

^ Maybe what we had signed for last season extends into this year? I don't believe so. Looked like Eleven Sports left us hanging back in January. Also no start times have been announced for any home games yet. It’s amazing that only a month from the start of the season and times for home games stil...

Re: Recruiting -- 2018 and beyond

We just added another defenseman, from Finland. The article also cites the entire freshman class. https://umassathletics.com/news/2019/7/25/hockey-completes-freshman-class-with-addition-of-haarti.aspx Yeah, he’s official now, but it was reported about a month ago. Looks like he might be a good one.

Re: Looking Ahead to the 2019-2020 Season

Hmmmm...we just added another goalie — 5’8” Alex Camarre out of Odessa in the NAHL. Interesting. So he replaces Arvanitis, who I’d leaving in hopes of finding more playing time. https://umassathletics.com/news/2019/7/24/hockey-adds-goaltender-camarre-for-2019-20.aspx https://www.eliteprospects.com/p...
