Re: 2024 NCAA Tournament Discussion
^^^^ I think you missed the point. Felger and Maz don’t give a crap about college sports no matter who’s playing and never have. And Tony is only allowed to like something if his master Michael tells him it’s ok. They are both grade A certified morons! Their show is entertaining, I listen a couple t...

Re: MAC Sports topics that include Hoops
I'm sure if we're not in the MAC in certain sports that the first conference we seek out is someone that aligns with us geographically/historically and go from there. Don't think UMass wants or needs programs in the Missouri Valley Conference.

https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-super-league-proposal-has-merit-but-significant-obstacles-remain-if-restructuring-sport/' dismayed we might not have a seat unless we really step up our game. What a joke. These colleges have way too much money and keep getting richer...

Re: Moving to the Pioneer Valley?
Anywhere within a half hour of Amherst is great for nature. If you want to go out in the boonies, something off 202 near the Quabbin has some beautiful spots. Not far from Route 2 there, so you can get down to the Cape in a couple hours. If you want to be near the Pike, Charlton/Sturbridge or anywhe...

Re: UMass transfer portal news - 2024
This came out on Monday.... https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/39903354/ncaa-adopt-new-transfer-eligibility-rule-next-meeting-report-says That's depressing. Thanks for nothing once again to that squish Charlie Baker. I'm not sure what you expect Baker to do. The NCAA is enjoined from en...

Re: MAC Sports topics that include Hoops
Maybe this thread is good place to chew on this comment that I read this earlier today in our lax forum: From econalum: " Many MAC colleges are in financial trouble due to falling enrollments. I am dubious that MLAX will be added anytime soon. If anything, I expect MAC schools to start cutting...

Re: KAEO: John Calipari
It's also about time Coach Cal got into mountain biking if he already hasn't. I heard northwest Arkansas has a world class trail system, thanks to Walton money. Rumor has it, he and Bruiser used to tear it up on Earls Trails back in the day. Nice, I hope Bruiser goes with him to Arkansas and they t...

Re: 2024 NCAA Tournament Discussion
Not really a cult when you’re the best basketball program in the country for the last 25 years, they back it up as much as it sickens me. Also don’t put any stock into felger and Maz talking college sports, they are less than clueless in that department.

Re: KAEO: John Calipari
At this point in his life, Arkansas is a better job for Cal. Lower stress, and he has a chance to revitalize a program that hasn't been relevant nationally since the mid 90s (sound familiar?). Still in the same great conference and doesn't have to deal with the psychotic UK fan base anymore. Another...

Re: All in a day
I've been screaming this for 3 years Jolean, welcome to the club. Transfer portal is making an absolute mockery of college sports, especially basketball. NIL is here forever and the more I see it, I am fine with it. It took me awhile to come around on NIL but I'm here. Colleges have been profiting b...

Re: 2024 NCAA Tournament Discussion
It's like a recurring nightmare for us UMass fans, UConn can't be stopped. Outside of BC, there isn't another program winning like this over and over that could depress me more in college hoops. They are an absolute wagon.
