Re: Brooooons

It always amazes me the injuries that hockey players play thru during playoffs. Broken bones, wired jaws, torn muscles, its unbelieveable.

Puerile, now that's a word not often served up on a sports message board but could pertain to several of its constituents

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

Well, contact the rules committee and let them know you have better ideas. Maybe they'll do it

Re: Brooooons

Pastrnak was horrible, especially last night. I was yelling at the tv at some of the lazy plays he made, he was terrible. Very talented kid, but he was bad all series

I felt bad for McAvoy, kid played pretty well and was really down

Re: Brooooons

If they put even 1 in that first period it would've been a completely different game. Bruins thoroughly dominated the first 17 minutes of the game. I agree, I think it took a lot out of their sails not putting any of those 5 great chances in. And the one the Blues put in with 7 seconds left in the ...

Re: Brooooons

Bruins should have been up 4-0 in that first period, but Binnington was insanely good. I knew they'd lose after that if St. Louis scored first. Hot goalie usually does it and he was definitely hot. Bruins had their chances early and I'd guess if they put in 2 or 3 in that 1st period, Binnington woul...

Let's remember one thing about the transfer situation, all coaches have to go through it, not just McCall. Why complain and have excuses, gain the players trust, be the best coach you can be, and I'm sure student-athletes will stay at UMass.
And Scoop, like Swampy says, just win baby!

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

I think a lot of it has to do with trying to create a more fan appealing game with more action, athleticism, and high scoring. Its all about money and fans in the seats, and attendance numbers. Whether it works or not, we'll find out

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

Yeah, thanks IV, I need an editor. Niles, I agree with feeding the ball inside and I believe a kid like Tre will benefit from this as he has the rep for being a good passer, can shoot it, and can put it on the floor. But if we can't establish a good perimeter game, its all for naught. I do li...

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

The new 3pt line will only open up the court and improve spacing if the defense respects the perimeter shooters and extends further away from the hoop. Right, so good offenses (with good shooters and good post players) now become better as the spacing allows the better players more opportunity to b...

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

I hear your point but I doubt any coach would have his players out further away than he needs to , as it essentially eliminates them as an option. Most guys practice their 3 pt shooting from just outside the line, so I would think their %'s are better from there. The 3 pt shot will always be part of...

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

I completely don't understand why they changed the rule. Does anyone? I never had the experience of watching a game and thinking, Oh, there's too many 3-pointers. I do not like this rule change at all, but I seem to be in the minority. People claim it will spread the floor and open things up for th...

Can't believe there's no Bruins discussion and we're on to game 7 of the Cup Finals. Play like they did last night and its another banner in Titletown

Re: Around the A10 (2019-2020)

If Carl and TJ Weeks light things up a bit from deep, it definitely spreads the floor a bit and helps Tre, Sy,
and the other bigs get a little more room to do their thing. If you got no shooters, it could become more congested as teams layoff the wings
