Re: Julius Erving

That 70 team had that cohesive smoothness with plenty of contributors .Dennis Chapman
was a valuable piece to that team.I think the late Tommy Austin, who also was a terrific pitcher and fine gentleman was on that team.

Re: FIRE WALT BELL!

Umass has spent 10 seasons getting kicked around in every way possible. The jump in apps is due to financial pressures
in parents, students and the college debt accrued. UMass offers
a very good to exclent education with much for much less.

To my Jewish brethren may you be inscribed in the book of life for the next year, having an easy fast For my friends who believe in the primacy of one G-D or the existence of a Devine existential spirit wishing you the blessings for the next year that this country affords. And, to UMass fans, a run o...

Re: Princeton Review rankings

Umass Amherst is the equivalent of the Subaru Legacy : a little quirky, reliable, always good.Good quality at a fair price. I don t need the US News,Forbes,or the Princeton Review passing judgement on my university.I don t think I could gain admission today, and I was fortunate being accepted 50 years ...

Re: Prayers for Tom Austin

Tom Austin was a 2sport star at Case High School in Swansea Ma. I came from Somerset, which is the next town to the east of Swansea, just outside of Fall River. I really never knew Tom,but on a few occasions I gave him a ride home from campus to Swansea. The interesting thing was my car Was a karmann ...

Happy Birthday to Julius ! That performance was one for the ages. The feeling inside the Cage was electric and the players fed off the crowd. It was a fun time to play for UMass. There was a pride in the program and we were proud to put that uniform on and go out and beat teams like Syracuse, BC, U...

That win vs Syracuse was a beat down, never as close as the final score. That game seems like yesterday.
I always think of #32 serving up Wilson burger just off of half court by the scorer s table. Billy Smith

Re: MAC-tion 2015

I tuned in to ESPN watching the latest Maction

Most fans responded with discouraging inaction

In Ohio,Indiana,and rust belt Michigan,

They stayed away predictably again.. Ergo,

the crowds are an embarrassing contraction and fraction.
